RUDI SCHIFFER - THE VOICE OF TUNICA, AND THE GOODTIMES SHOW.
In 1992 when Splash opened its doors as the first casino in Tunica County in Northern Mississippi, Rudi Schiffer, an avid gambler, was in the first rank of customers to enter the barge adjacent to the Mighty Mississippi.
Since then he has become a well-known personality at Tunica’s nine casinos and owns and produces the GoodTimes Radio Show, the longest running live casino gaming format show in the USA.
Rudi Schiffer, who is the lead columnist for Jackpot Magazine, the only worthwhile gaming and entertainment newspaper in the Mid-South, writes his insightful and sometimes humorous column every other week and also distributes it nationally on CasinoCityTimes.com under “Gaming Gurus.” He is also a feature editor and contributor to Jackpot and Mississippi Gaming News.
He founded the first gambling newspaper in 1992, the GoodTimes News, which subsequently was sold to Morris Specialty Publications and is now published as Jackpot. After he was graduated from Boston University, he was a sports/feature writer and editor for the Associated Press and later also owned and managed Schiffer Communications, a member of the WorldCom PR Network.
A native of Boston, he now resides in East Memphis with his beautiful wife, Dee, and two bouncy Boston Terriers, Buster and Beau.
The top-rated show is livened by co-host Michael Schiffer, who brings his table games expertise to the air that he develops each day as a pit boss at Sheraton Casino in Tunica.

MIKE SCHIFFER/CO-HOST
Mike Schiffer, former editor of the GoodTimes News, brings hands-on experience to the show from his job as a pit supervisor at Sheraton Casino Tunica. He also gained knowledge of the casino-side with stints at Harrah’s and Lady Luck casinos. You can find him in table games at Sheraton Casino where his personality makes him a favorite pit boss. Occasionally, they use his voice on stage for giveaways, etc.
He also worked as a public relations account executive at Schiffer Communications and handled such accounts as Nashville Stars basketball team of the defunct World Basketball League and assisted on others like the annual Liberty Bowl, The Memphis Mad Dogs and Shreveport Pirates of the Canadian Football League, and the Memphis area Boy Scouts of American Chapter.
Mike is also an avid poker player and is also an expert mechanic. He's very sports oriented, as in high school he was an all-state soccer player, and in college he played varsity soccer and rugby for University of Tennessee and University of Memphis. He enjoys spending his free time playing golf and day dreaming of owning a big motorhome and travelling the US with the family, especially the western part of the country. (i.e. Grand Canyon!) His family also loves spending time at the Schiffer cabin in Heber Springs, Arkansas... fishing, swimming, looking for deer with the boys, etc.
Mike resides in Southaven with his lovely wife, Jennifer, and 2 sons, Collin & Ashton.
